Book online – with Dragonera’s rules
Diving Dragonera is based in Port d’Andratx in south-west Mallorca. Its boats head from there to the dive sites in the Freu de Sa Dragonera marine reserve. Natalie runs the centre. Her team has worked with HALIBLU since March 2024.
Guests who click “Book now” on Dragonera’s website arrive at the centre’s booking portal . They can reserve a trip themselves – even at 11 p.m., when nobody is at the front desk. The system applies certification requirements and Dragonera’s booking rules.
The centre can require online payment for selected offers. If configured that way, the amount is later credited against the final price. Regular guests can continue to add themselves without this payment. Dragonera was the first HALIBLU centre to use online payments for reservations.
Guests can also see available trips at the centre. A screen shows the next departures, the places already reserved and a QR code. After scanning it, a guest reserves on their own phone and the new entry appears directly in the system.
34 package products – and the rules behind them
Dragonera’s price list moved into the system during onboarding. It contained 34 package products alone: six-packs, ten-packs and VIP packages. The individual rental-equipment items and the centre’s pricing rules came with them.
A second dive on the same day costs less at Dragonera. Regular guests and residents receive their own terms. These prices are not recalculated at the front desk for every invoice. They are stored as rules and applied during billing.
The move therefore preserved more than a price list. It also retained the decisions behind the prices. Dragonera did not have to change its packages or front-desk work to fit somebody else’s pricing model.
Natalie’s working lists became part of the product
Front-desk staff change at a seasonal dive centre. Prices, packages and rules still need to be available on somebody’s first day – not after they have spent weeks learning them.
Natalie brought concrete templates and requirements. Dragonera sent us its existing boat list as an Office file. Its structure became the basis of the boat list in HALIBLU. Today, the front desk selects a trip and receives the completed list instead of copying names and details into another spreadsheet.
The screen layout also comes from Natalie’s template. One row per trip, the guests already booked and the QR code turn the day plan into an on-site reservation option.
Natalie also requested a login without editing rights. Trainees, accounting staff or auditors can view information without being able to change it. Requirements from Dragonera’s daily work thus became functions available to every HALIBLU centre.
